Froid Distant was created during the pandemic. It tells the journey of teenagers who have to face the normal grief of life. The absence of human contact, communications and activities will affect these young people who will go from shock to denial, ending with acceptance and evolution.

It’s a matter of deviance; we can have these bodily signs that expose something unusual about the signifier. Something apart, something a part of us that is inextricable and yet exposes a decided upon moral status within the routines of social intercourse. And we are forced to wear it, this stigma, like a backpack full of unknown and unnecessary weight.

"I’m interested here in a process of meaning making that is collaboratively generative. What I mean by that is that my creation begins with putting the artists in motion as we discuss the feelings and meanings divulged from our dancing bodies;  as they arise we wonder where we are in relation to the experiences we make art from and even when it’s not directly our experience, how can we uphold fidelity to such circumstances as we endeavour art as experience. The work is charged by life and charging into life, filled with worry and filled with beauty. For the love of it all." - Cai Glover
