3 frames of worry

at Festival Quartiers Danse - Cinquième Salle

The evening promises to be rich and varied! You'll have the opportunity to experience a poetic piece by Cai Glover exploring the themes of anxiety and the search for meaning, followed by a contemporary solo by an Icelandic artist set to baroque music, offering an invigorating contrast. The evening closes with an electrifying solo by RÉVOLUTION 2024 finalist Zachary Bastille, capturing the electric nature of nerve flow.

3 Frames of Worry by Cai Glover

3 Frames of Worry is a creation that was generatively built from the collective preoccupations of the working artists involved. We began the process with a phrase of movement -putting the body in motion- and expanded our embodied experience into words and dialogue. Our discussion arose from our dance which in turn sparked more dance and then more discussions. We arrived in three frames. All of them, full of worry.

Something About Clouds by Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir

Something About Clouds offers a dialogue across the ages, marrying music from three centuries ago with contemporary movements to give birth to a new experience. The piece explores our current connection with Baroque music, so rich in drama and beauty.

Embrasement synaptique by Zachary Bastille

Embrasement Synaptique explores the personalization of neurons in the human body as they transmit sensory information. The choreographer wanted to capture the electric, unpredictable and impulsive nature of nerve flow, and its role in our instinctive reactions.
